Overloaded Vehicle Spotted on Rawalpindi Road

A dangerously overloaded vehicle moving on Band Khanna Road in Rawalpindi late at night caught the attention of traffic authorities. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam took notice of the situation after the vehicle was seen carrying excessive cargo.

Traffic Police Take Immediate Action

Following the instructions of the CTO, traffic police on night duty were ordered to stop the vehicle and initiate legal action. Senior Warden Inspector Abdul Waheed and his team chased and stopped the vehicle near Jahaz Ground.

Furniture Loaded Far Above Vehicle Height

Officials reported that the vehicle was stacked with multiple layers of furniture, reaching far above the vehicle’s height. Such excessive loading could have caused the vehicle to lose balance or collide with overhead electricity wires, creating a serious risk for road users.

Traffic police issued a Rs10,000 challan to the driver for severe overloading. The driver and vehicle owner were also given a strict warning to avoid similar violations in the future.

Zero Tolerance for Traffic Violations

CTO Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam stated that authorities will continue to follow a zero-tolerance policy against overloading and other traffic law violations to ensure public safety on city roads.
