🕊️ Global Appeal for Justice

On the solemn occasion of Kashmir Black Day, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have urged the international community to take meaningful action toward resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. 🌍

In separate statements, both leaders reaffirmed that lasting peace in South Asia can only be achieved through a fair and just settlement of the Kashmir issue.

🧭 Zardari’s Strong Message

President Zardari appealed to the United Nations, global human rights organisations, and world powers to hold India accountable for its “grave and systematic” human rights abuses in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

“Peace and stability in South Asia are tied to a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute,” he emphasized.

He further reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for the Kashmiri people, stating:

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with our Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for justice, peace, and self-determination.” 🤝

💬 PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Statement

Echoing the president’s sentiments, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that peace in South Asia will remain elusive without resolving the Kashmir issue.

“Every year, October 27 reminds us of the darkest day in Kashmir’s history,” the prime minister said. “Since that day, India has continued to deny the Kashmiri people their inalienable right to self-determination, enshrined in UN resolutions.”

He paid tribute to the unbreakable courage and resilience of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who have endured decades of occupation and suppression. 💔

Sharif also condemned India’s illegal moves since August 5, 2019, aimed at changing the demography and political identity of the region.

⚫ Leaders Condemn “Dark Chapter” in History

🗣️ Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani called October 27, 1947, a “dark chapter in history” — the day India forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir, violating both international law and human rights.

He stated that India’s military landing in Srinagar marked the beginning of a long era of oppression against the Kashmiri people.

💬 Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam condemned the ongoing atrocities and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unflinching commitment to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

🕯️ PPP Senator Sherry Rehman echoed these sentiments, saying that October 27, 1947, remains one of the darkest chapters in South Asian history.

🕊️ A Day of Reflection and Resolve

Kashmir Black Day serves as a reminder of Pakistan’s moral responsibility and solidarity with the oppressed.
The nation continues to stand united in its call for justice, peace, and human dignity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. 🇵🇰🕊️
