🟢 Detailed News

🔹 Supreme Court Declares Winner

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Khushal Khan Kakar, officially recognizing him as the successful candidate from NA-251. The court also ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan to immediately notify his victory.

🔹 Previous Result Annulled

The earlier result declaring Syed Samiullah as the winner was declared illegal and set aside. The court also nullified prior decisions, including orders for re-polling at certain polling stations.

🔹 Evidence of Vote Tampering

The court found strong evidence that election results were tampered with. It stated that during the preparation of Form 48, results from Form 45 were deliberately altered, reducing votes of one candidate and increasing those of the rival.

🔹 Scale of Irregularities

According to the judgment, around 100 votes were deducted from Kakar at multiple polling stations and added to his opponent. The court noted that without these changes, Kakar would have won by a clear margin of over 1,800 votes.

🔹 Court’s Strong Observations

The Supreme Court termed the manipulation a “deliberate attempt” to change the public mandate. It emphasized that returning officers have no authority to alter official results and warned that such actions may lead to criminal proceedings under election laws.

🔹 Importance of Transparent Elections

The judgment highlighted the constitutional responsibility of the Election Commission to ensure free and fair elections. The court stressed that any interference in vote counting undermines the democratic process and public trust.
